Can I, for example, freely look out of the side window of a car in GTA while driving it? Or, is it just a 3D view of the game on a small screen in front of you like some of the reviews I've read suggest? I've heard that there are different modes in VorpX, but I'm not sure I understand what each mode really does. The concept of DirectVR sounds neat, but I'm not really sure I understand what it really is/does.ĮDIT 2: Honestly, the main question I have is how it actually "feels" in-game. I'm more interested in what VorpX is capable of, and if it is worth the money. Overall, do you think VorpX is worth the purchase?ĮDIT: GTA V is what got me back down the rabbit hole of VorpX GTA V is not the only reason I want it, obviously.
Is that true at all? Also, if you've tried it, how well does VorpX work with GTA V these days? I'd prefer not to use any other mods for it, as I like to play GTA Online, and I heard VorpX is compatible. So, i figured I would ask some questions: How is VorpX? What is DirectVR, and how does it differ from non-DirectVR-supported games on VorpX? I've seen some people say that VorpX "isn't VR, it just puts a 3D screen really close to your face " which doesn't sound too great. I've seen a lot of my favorite games being played with VorpX (Watch Dogs, Half-Life 2, Halo MCC, GTA V, Portal, Left 4 Dead, etc), and it seems really cool. Yet, I just can't seem to justify spending $40 on a software without trying it out first. I've been in the VR space for a while - since the launch of the CV1 - and I've been tempted by VorpX time and time again.
